Features:

  • Simple drop-in installation — lift the sub-trunk cover, set the fridge in, plug it in. No drilling, no brackets, no trimming. The fit is deliberately snug, so it may take a gentle wiggle to seat the first time.
  • Real compressor cooling — only 30 minutes to cool from 50°F to -4°F, and it holds temperature whatever the weather outside. Frost-free, with ECO and MAX modes.
  • Control it from your phone with the free CFridge app over Bluetooth (App Store / Google Play), so you can check and set the temperature from the driver's seat without getting out. An LED panel on the unit is there whenever you want it.

Two foam support blocks — do not throw them away

  • The Model X sub-trunk floor is not flat. The two included foam blocks go under the fridge to level it, so it sits square and does not rock on the drive.
  • They look like packaging. They are not. Keep them — without them the fridge sits crooked.
  • Push the fridge to the left so the heat-exchange vent on the right side stays clear.

Specifications:

  • Capacity: 42 Quarts (40 L) · Weight: 31 Pounds
  • Temperature range: -4°F to 50°F
  • Power: 12V / 24V DC · approx. 0.9 kWh per day

Shipping:

  • Free standard shipping to all 48 contiguous US states. Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are quoted at checkout.
  • Most US orders ship the same business day; at latest by the next business day.

In the box:

  • Fridge X, DC power cable, two foam support blocks, cleaning towel and user manual. Backed by a 1-year CARFROZEN limited warranty.

Please Note:

  • To keep the refrigerator powered after leaving and locking the vehicle, go to Controls > Charging and enable Keep Accessory Power On.
  • This feature is unavailable when the vehicle is in Low Power Mode and will increase energy consumption.

Using the CFridge app

  • Open the app and tap Connect each time you want to control the fridge. The app connects fresh every session rather than staying paired in the background — this is normal, not a fault.
  • If you own more than one CARFROZEN fridge, select the unit you want from the list before changing the temperature.

Troubleshooting

  • F2 error (flashing display and beeping): press SET and change the setting from H to L, turn the fridge off, unplug the power cable completely, then plug it back in and switch it on. Repeated resets on their own will not clear the code.
  • Stopped cooling on a trip: check the 12V plug first — make sure it is seated firmly in the outlet and that the fuse inside the plug is intact. A loose plug is the most common cause of a fridge that shows a temperature but is not running.

    FAQ

How do I keep Fridge X running while parked?

To keep Fridge X running while your Tesla Model X is parked, enable “Keep Accessory Power On” under Controls > Charging. This allows the vehicle to continue supplying accessory power when no one is in the vehicle. Please note that this feature increases vehicle energy consumption and is unavailable when Model X enters Low Power Mode.

Fridge X connects to your Tesla Model X using the included DC power cable. Connect it to a compatible low-voltage power outlet, set your desired temperature, and start cooling. No vehicle modification is required.

Fridge X can operate from a compatible 12V or 24V DC power source. However, its shape and dimensions are specifically designed around the Tesla Model X rear sub-trunk.

Make sure Fridge X is powered on and receiving stable power. Check the operating mode on the control panel and confirm that the controls are not locked. If you are using the mobile app, make sure it is connected to Fridge X before adjusting the temperature.

    1. Check Bluetooth and Location Settings:

    • Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone.
    • Make sure that location services (GPS) are turned on as well.

    2. Reinstall the App:

    • If the issue persists, try uninstalling the app from your mobile phone.
    • Download and reinstall the app from the app store.

Yes. Fridge X operates on DC 12V/24V and can also be used with compatible portable power stations. With a suitable AC adapter, it can be powered from a standard household outlet.

Fridge X uses a compressor refrigeration system, providing fast and efficient cooling and allowing it to operate as either a refrigerator or freezer.

Yes. Fridge X can run continuously as long as it has a stable power supply. Actual power consumption varies depending on the set temperature, ambient temperature, how much food or drink is inside, and how often the compressor cycles.

As for the situation, you can set 12v battery voltage protection level on the panel of our product. There are three levels for your choice: H-M-L.

Refrigeration issues can be categorized into three types: slow refrigeration, failure to refrigerate, and incorrect temperature display. Here’s how to diagnose and address each issue:

    1. Slow Refrigeration:

           Possible Causes:

    •  High ambient temperature or overcrowding inside the refrigerator.

           Solution:

    • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the refrigerator.
    • Place the refrigerator in a cooler environment if possible.
    • Reduce the amount of food stored inside and allow space for better air circulation.
    1. Failure to Refrigerate:

            Possible Causes:

    • Insufficient refrigerant or compressor malfunction.

            Solution:

    • Check if the refrigerator compressor is operational.
    • Set the refrigerator temperature to -4°F (-20°C) and place a cup of water inside.
    • After twelve hours, check if the water is frozen.
    • If the compressor does not work, email our customer support: hello@carfrozen.com for further assistance. We will coordinate with the factory to resolve the issue promptly.
    1. Incorrect Temperature Display:

            Possible Causes:

    •  High ambient temperature or incorrect temperature settings.

            Solution:

    • Adjust the temperature compensation value as needed.
    • Contact our support team: hello@carfrozen.com to guide you through the adjustment process based on your feedback.
    • If the displayed temperature differs significantly from the actual temperature and the refrigerator freezes, consider replacing the refrigerator operation panel.

If the problem persists, it may indicate a faulty thermometer, and we will arrange to send you a replacement.

Make sure the refrigerator is in L position, otherwise F2 will be displayed.

The F4 and F5 errors indicate poor heat dissipation, typically occurring when the ambient temperature around the refrigerator exceeds 120°F (49°C). Here are steps to resolve these errors:

    1.Increase Ventilation:

    • Improve the ventilation around the refrigerator.
    • Ensure there is adequate airflow to help dissipate heat effectively.

    2.Optimal Placement:

    • If using the refrigerator in a car, avoid placing it in a confined space or groove.
    • Instead, place it directly in the trunk of the car to allow better airflow and heat dissipation.
